The Legal Coordinator supports the legal development team with lease administration, real estate transactions, due diligence, and post-closing processes. This role coordinates legal documentation, tracks transaction milestones, and ensures effective communication between internal departments, external partners, lenders, and sellers.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Support acquisition and development closings by assisting with the review of SNDAs, estoppels, and other real estate transaction documents.

  • Collaborate with lease administration (CBRE), accounting, tax, litigation, and construction teams to support transaction execution.

  • Conduct research related to real estate transactions, including entity, property, and parcel searches using county GIS maps, LandID/Landgrid, Secretary of State databases, and other public records.

  • Order, monitor, and track due diligence reports, including environmental assessments and property condition reports.

  • Maintain reports and track deadlines for document recordings and post-closing requirements.

  • Coordinate document filings, recordings, and correspondence with sellers, external counsel, and lenders.

  • Monitor post-closing checklists, holdback deadlines, and outstanding transaction items to ensure timely resolution.

  • Facilitate the procurement and organization of insurance certificates and ensure proper documentation.

  • Distribute closing deliverables and maintain accurate transaction records and legal files.

  • Provide litigation and risk management support, including coordinating documents, assisting with subpoena reviews, and handling additional ad hoc legal projects and requests, on an as needed basis.

  • Manage legal mail by receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming correspondence to appropriate team members.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience in Legal/Real Estate or related experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferred)

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Ability to multitask

  • Must be detail oriented

  • Must maintain professional demeanor
