The Glass Field Trainer will be responsible for delivering Glass installation training to teammates and assessing opportunities to obtain and maintain quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Independently deliver training to teammates through live and virtual curriculum and field-based hands-on training
  • Make recommendations and coordinate necessary training for areas of need based on quality reviews
  • Mentor Glass technicians to ensure the quality and compliance are attained and sustained
  • Assist in development and enforcement of quality control processes developed by team
  • Assess teammate training needs and develop materials that will help teammates understand subject matter
  • Follow up with teammates regarding training in-person or through conference calls
  • Build and maintain partnerships and act as liaison with Glass field leadership
  • Provide field leadership and mentorship to technicians, mentors and apprentices where required
  • Alignment of top-down vision, goals and objectives from business strategy flowing through to successful completion of company objectives.
  • Measure ongoing performance assessment, research and development of new capabilities, and systematically applying knowledge for success.
  • Assist evaluation of training sessions created by the training team
  • Identify opportunities to improve overall processes
  • Oversee and execute special projects as needed
  • All other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Auto Glass Industry
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience performing windshield chip repairs
  • Minimum of 2 years of calibration experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of training or teaching experience

Skills:

  • Experience in all facets of Auto Glass Removal and Installation
  • AGSC, Adhesive, I-CAR and/or other industry certifications preferred and maintained
  • Strong knowledge of Omega Software
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software Excel, PPT, and Word
  • Must have the ability to develop or assess materials that will help teammates understand the subjects being taught.
  • 2 years Autel Scan Tool experience and knowledge
  • Good communication skills
  • Must have Project management skills
  • Must have skills to determine the best way to train teammates and meet the needs of the organization
  • Ability to travel extensively within region and out of region
  • Professional demeanor with a positive attitude, geared toward customer service
  • Must have valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR check

Working Environment

This role requires extensive travel, ability to work in a shop or mobile environment during inclement weather, ability to lift 60lbs independently and requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping.

Physical Requirements

Work is generally conducted in a standard office administrative setting with limited exposure to physical hazards.
