Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Information Security Manager, the IT Information Security Analyst role to assist with the day-to-day activities related to security operations and incident response. In this position you will help develop, manage, and enforce the security policies, identify security vulnerabilities, propose remediation actions, and participate in and conduct audits ensuring cyber security standards are followed. The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented, have strong technical communication skills, and enjoy solving issues within a fast-paced exciting environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Contribute to developing, maintaining, and enforcing Caliber’s information security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines
• Assist with reviewing information security architecture and operation functions within IT
• Help manage vulnerability management, and IS incident detection and response activities
• Assist in managing cyber threat analysis activities; creates and presents reports and metrics surrounding threat analysis
• Assist with external audits and internal audits (e.g., SOX audit and customer audits)
• Coordinate with IT team members to define, implement and maintain an acceptable information systems security posture
• Assist in managing GRC and vendor management programs related to IS systems
• Document and maintain records of all incident responses
• Assist in the development and execution of employee security awareness and training campaigns
• Maintain knowledge of current security trends and be able to clearly interpret them into actionable advice for staff in various types of technical and non-technical roles

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information security, information technology, or related field or equivalent relevant experience
• Minimum 3 of experience running security-related activities within an Information Technology organization
• Strong knowledge of information security standards, frameworks, and best practices (ISO 2700, NIST, COBIT etc.)
• Industry security certification(s) preferred (Examples: CEH, GIAC, Sec+, CISSP)
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Strong sense of urgency, adaptability, flexibility, and resourcefulness
• The ability to function professionally under pressure, while managing multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
• Must possess personal tact, discretion, and good judgment
• Knowledge of the insurance industry preferred
• Hands-on experience with maintaining security infrastructure (e.g., Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, Multi-Factor Authentication, Web Content Filters, Proxies, DLP, SIEM, Endpoint Protection)
