The Procurement Financial Analyst is responsible for enabling Caliber’s Procurement organization through advanced financial analysis, spend intelligence, business case development, and performance reporting. This role partners closely with Procurement leadership, Finance, Operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to provide actionable insights that drive strategic sourcing decisions, cost optimization, and enterprise value creation.
This is a newly created role at Caliber and requires an entrepreneurial, self-motivated professional who thrives in building structure, developing new processes, and solving complex business problems in a highly collaborative environment.
Essential Job Duties
Financial Analysis & Business Case Development
Develop detailed financial models and business cases to support sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and enterprise initiatives.
Analyze cost structures, pricing models, supplier economics, and total cost of ownership.
Quantify cost savings, cost avoidance, productivity gains, and financial impacts of procurement initiatives.
Partner with Finance to ensure alignment of savings methodologies and financial reporting.
Spend Analytics & Data Management
Lead the analysis and interpretation of enterprise spend data across all categories.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT to define analytics needs and support the development and enhancement of Power BI dashboards delivering real-time visibility into spend, supplier performance, savings, and trends.
Manipulate and structure large data sets to support category strategies, leadership reporting, and executive decision-making.
Improve data integrity and standardization of spend classifications and reporting frameworks.
Procurement Enablement & Process Development
Support the standardization and implementation of procurement processes, policies, and governance frameworks.
Identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, and risks within procurement workflows and proactively design solutions.
Develop reporting templates, tools, and performance metrics that drive accountability and continuous improvement.
Act as a change agent, driving adoption of new tools, processes, and analytical capabilities across the department.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategic Support
Serve as a trusted analytical partner to Procurement leadership and category managers.
Support strategic sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management through data-driven insights.
Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Legal, and Risk to align procurement strategies with corporate objectives and financial requirements.
Support the preparation of executive-level presentations and reports that clearly communicate financial insights and recommendations.
Skills / Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
3–6+ years of experience in financial analysis, procurement analytics, supply chain finance, or related role.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and data modeling techniques.
Strong understanding of procurement concepts, cost drivers, sourcing methodologies, and financial analysis.
Demonstrated ability to build structured frameworks and scalable processes in ambiguous or evolving environments.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Highly self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and comfortable operating in a newly created role.
Proven ability to work independently under minimal supervision while maintaining strong collaboration with stakeholders.
