
Senior Accounting Architecture Analyst

CSCS TXWe are looking for a Senior Accounting Architecture Analyst with expertise in SQL, Microsoft’s Power Platform, and Python to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in architecting new data solutions, optimizing existing ones, and supporting Accounting-related requirements while providing insightful analytics. This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate effectively with the entire Accounting department, IT, and other business units.
The work will involve developing and supporting complex data solutions while solving key business opportunities. The primary focus will be on SQL, Python, data modeling, and additional responsibilities within BI tools, RPA tools like Power Automate, ETL processes, and ensuring data integrity.
Essential Job Duties:
Act as a solutions architect for the Accounting department, supporting projects and change management initiatives across key project owners (Accounting, Operations, IT, Internal Controls, etc.)
Act as an internal consultant to the Accounting department with a high level of care to stakeholder needs and requirements.
Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries and cloud-based solutions to support Accounting initiatives.
Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex BI solutions using SQL, Snowflake, PowerBI Semantic Models, Excel Power Pivot, etc.
Create and maintain reporting tools, PowerApps, and Power Automate workflows for improvement opportunities, and process change requests as needed.
Develop and maintain ETL processes to support data integration and transformation needs across the organization.
Manage Accounting tools, accounting reporting, and data analytics systems while ensuring governance, security, consistency, integrity, and accuracy of all end-user data.
Provide ongoing support and training to end-users, ensuring effective utilization of data tools and resources.
Participate in system maintenance, upgrades, and integration projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Education, Experience, and Skills for Success:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, MSBA, MBA, MIS, or PhD is a plus.
5 years of experience in data analysis, with a strong focus on PowerBI Semantic Modelling, SQL, and overall data modeling concepts. Fabric is a plus.
Strong Understanding of Accounting methodologies, concepts, principles, and modeling.
Strong proficiency in systems and methodologies for accessing and utilizing data, including Fabric, SQL for data manipulation, ETL processes, data analytics, and data modeling.
Proficiency in SQL with a demonstrated ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries.
Knowledge of database objects (tables, views, etc.), and experience in implementing and optimizing queries, materialized views, and strong understanding on data pipelines.
Familiarity with DAX and Power BI Service.
Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
Willingness to collaborate closely with teammates and all management levels.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail and high standards for data quality and accuracy.
