The Sr. Mobility Systems Engineer is a core member of the Corporate Mobility and Field Technology team, responsible for the engineering, standardization, automation, security, and lifecycle management of the organization’s enterprise mobility and endpoint environment. This role is designed as a hands-on mobile engineering position, owning the technical design, configuration, automation, and continuous improvement of mobile and endpoint platforms rather than day-to-day operational support alone. 

The Mobility Systems Engineer serves as a technical authority for Microsoft Intune, MFA workflow engineering, mobile security architecture, and enterprise mobility technologies, ensuring secure, scalable, automated, and standardized device experiences across corporate and field environments. The role also provides technical expertise in wireless connectivity solutions, including MiFi technologies leveraging carrier aggregation and bonding capabilities. 

Key Responsibilities 

Mobility Engineering & Platform Ownership 

• Engineer and own enterprise mobility platforms, focusing on architecture, configuration, automation, standardization, and scalability 

• Design and maintain standardized mobility solutions for smartphones, tablets, MiFi devices, fixed wireless, and Windows endpoints 

• Lead initiatives to standardize the enterprise device fleet across corporate and field environments 

• Develop automation workflows to reduce manual provisioning and lifecycle management tasks 

Endpoint Management, Intune & Autopilot Engineering 

• Engineer, optimize, and automate Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager environments 

• Design and implement Windows Autopilot provisioning models 

• Develop configuration profiles, compliance policies, security baselines, and automated remediation processes 

• Build and maintain Intune automation workflows using scripting (PowerShell preferred) and policy orchestration 

• Integrate Intune with identity, security, and conditional access platforms 

MFA Workflow Engineering & Identity Integration 

• Design, engineer, and automate Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) workflows 

• Develop automated onboarding, enrollment, and lifecycle processes for MFA solutions 

• Partner with Identity and Security teams to implement conditional access policies 

 Optimize MFA user experience while maintaining strong security controls 

• Support integrations between MFA platforms, Intune, and enterprise identity providers 

Mobile Security & Compliance Engineering 

• Engineer and enforce enterprise mobile security standards and governance frameworks 

• Implement device encryption, application protection policies, OS patch compliance, and endpoint security controls 

• Support Zero Trust initiatives as they relate to mobile and endpoint access 

• Conduct periodic security posture reviews and implement improvements to reduce risk 

• Partner with cybersecurity teams on mobile-related incident response and threat mitigation 

Enterprise Mobility & Telecom Engineering 

• Partner with TEM providers to engineer carrier provisioning and optimization workflows 

• Engineer and standardize mobile carrier provisioning processes and automation 

• Provide subject matter expertise in MiFi technologies, including knowledge of carrier aggregation and bonding technologies to improve bandwidth performance, redundancy, and connectivity reliability 

• Evaluate wireless solutions to support high-availability connectivity across field locations 

Collision Center Technology Deployment 

• Support on-site and remote engineering and technology deployments 

 Assist in managing project timelines, deployment schedules, and deployment processes 

• Ensure secure, standardized, and scalable deployment models across all centers 

Standardization & Continuous Improvement 

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture standards, and automation scripts 

 Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through workflow automation and engineering improvements 

• Continuously evaluate emerging mobility and endpoint technologies 

Years Experience Required: 

 5-7 years of relevant experience in the areas of expertise described above.
