Position Summary

Caliber is seeking a motivated and organized Supervisor, Field Construction to oversee facility maintenance, repair, and construction projects throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana. This role is responsible for managing facility improvement initiatives, coordinating contractors and vendors, ensuring project completion, and maintaining operational standards across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with facilities management, construction, or project management experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing multiple projects while traveling throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee repair, maintenance, and facility improvement projects across the assigned region.
  • Coordinate project planning, permitting, and construction activities from inception through completion.
  • Source, evaluate, and manage contractors, vendors, and service providers.
  • Review bids for scope, accuracy, and cost effectiveness.
  • Establish and manage project schedules, budgets, and timelines.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess facility conditions and identify maintenance needs.
  • Coordinate activities with internal stakeholders, contractors, and governing agencies.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and job-site protocols.
  • Build strong working relationships with field operations teams and business partners.


Qualifications

  • Experience in facilities management, construction management, project management, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
  • Approximately 75% travel throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana, including overnight travel as needed.
  • Ability to travel by automobile and commercial airline.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.


Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

This position operates in both professional office settings and active construction environments. Responsibilities require regular use of standard office equipment, including computers and mobile devices, as well as frequent travel throughout the assigned region.

The employee must be able to:

  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, and use hands for extended periods.
  • Communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Work in varying weather conditions and construction site environments.
  • Sit for extended periods while traveling by vehicle or aircraft.
